TOMMS is a comprehensive (EAM) Enterprise Asset Management or (CMMS) Computerized Maintenance Management System which is specially designed to reduce cost and improve organization bottom line. TOMMS is widely being adopted to manage and control asset maintenance in three main focus industries. These industries are facility maintenance, plant maintenance and lastly fleet maintenance. These 3 main industries focus on TOMMS extensively to reduce emergency breakdowns, improve their asset uptime and reduce unnecessary wastage of inventory. Thus, with the improve asset productivity to a higher state of efficiency and throughput ultimately improve their company's profitability.
Two decades of experience, knowledge and principles in maintenance management industry have been incorporated into the development of TOMMS. TOMMS design and development structure strongly stressed on the following fundamentals: - easy of use, simplicity, flexibility, mobility and reusability. CSR Kuala Lumpur Maintenance Sdn Bhd (CKM) is the officially appointed maintenance provider for the Ministry of Transport and KTMB in Malaysia. CKM key role is to implement EMU maintenance industry using CSR’s specialised rail transit equipment technology to support maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of commuters. This marks CKM’s entry and beginning into EMU maintenance business in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. It is our aim to eventually build a professional maintenance Headquarters here in Sentul, Kuala Lumpur as we establish our professional presence throughout regions in Southeast Asia.
CKM selected TOMMS (EAM) because it fits their requirements and also it is being adopted by KTMB for their EMU and ETS. CKM intend to use TOMMS (EAM) to report on their maintenance of EMU to KTMB using the Bill Of Material (BOM) structure developed by KTMB. Moreover, CKM will be able to meet KTMB reporting standards by using the standard codes developed by KTMB maintenance personnel like defects, failures, action and remedies. These reports will be able to save time in meeting their KPI to KTMB and also ease the communication process.

KTMB selected TOMMS (EAM) for their maintenance related operation for EMU (Electrical Multple Units) and ETS (Electric Train Service). The TOMMS (EAM) systems is expected to provide the following :-

3. Document control for exams in systems.
4.Fault Coding for ease for reporting
5.PM programming.
6.Material Consumptions.
7.Resource Management.
8.Desktop reporting.

With the following information, KTMB will be able to provide transparency on their EMU & ETS accordingly and improve their uptime for the rolling stocks. KTMB is expecting to achieve the above by utilising the TOMMS (EAM) ssytem to standardized on their reportng and provide management the necessary information to make decisions. KTMB is expecting to record all purchases for spares and consumables for EMU and ETS in the TOMMS (EAM) in order to expedite, trace and improve efficiency.

The Sungai Semenyih Water Supply Scheme implemented by the Selangor State Government supplies clean water to South-West of Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam, Klang, Putrajaya, Cyberjaya, Sepang, Puchong, Seri Kembangan, Bandar Baru Bangi, Kuala Langat and the surrounding areas. In the year 2001, Konsortium ABASS Sdn Bhd was awarded a 30 years concession to operate and maintain the Sungai Semenyih Scheme.
Konsortium ABASS replace their old systems with TOMMS (EAM) because they wanted a total integrated system whereby TOMMS have API interfaces their ABASS Financial Systems. Before TOMMS, they have a number of isolated systems and currently they only have 1 system for maintenance and financial. In addition, it is hosted over the internet with connectivity from anywhere over the internet with any terminal with a browser. ABASS management can now have all the information on their miantenance operation for the plant in Semenyih via TOMMS (EAM) in their HQ and process any approval from anywhere over the internet in order to improve efficiency in their maintenance.

Lumut Port selected TOMMS (EAM) for their mainteance related operation system because they wanted an affordable system with testimonials for fleet maintenance. TOMMS (EAM) have been implemented in numerous fleet maintenance industry like Star Rail, Nationwide Courier Express Bhd and etc. Moreover, Lumut Port insist that the system must have an interface to their financial system to avoid double entry and TOMMS (EAM) already have the API interface which they find it as an advantange as compare to others.

Perodua has selected TOMMS (EAM) as their preferred software for their asset management in 2 key areas which are Perodua Manufacturing and Perodua Engineering. Perodua Manufacturing used TOMMS (EAM) to maintain their equipments in Body Shop, Paint Shop , Assembly, Bumper and Conveyor systems. Meanwhile, Perodua Engineering used TOMMS (EAM) to control and maximize the uptime of assets in the engineering department.

Shamsul (Maintenance Engineer) chose TOMMS (EAM) for its rich functionalities and ease of use. His manager, Mr Mukunnan like the way TOMMS (EAM) generate the Master Schedule which he can used it easily to plan and schedule his employee during any shutdown or PM. Lakdhanavi Limited build, own, operate and maintain a combined cycle power plant which generate about 300 MW of electricity.
Lakdhanavi Power Plant Purchase TOMMS (EAM) to maintain their 300MW Combined Cycle Power Plant in Muturajawela in Sri Lanka. TOMMS Systems Sdn Bhd has announced that its maintenance management solution TOMMS (EAM) has been selected as the preferred CMMS/EAM system for the leading international Metallkraft Group that have patented their process technology that fully recycles the spent slurry from silicon wafer slicing. Metallkraft's objective was to identify and select a single maintenance management system that could be integrated and used across all of its factory locations in Asia. The system must provide transparency and disseminate engineering information and site-to-site visibility. "We required a comprehensive maintenance system to manage our new state of the art facility in Tuas, Singapore and TOMMS was the best and affordable solution with great flexibility” recalls Ganesan, Chief Engineer at Metallkraft’s. Their requirement includes interfacing with their financial application system - to avoid double-entry of data and provide consolidated accounts.” "We really saw an opportunity to set things right the first time due to its new setup and to eliminate major inefficiencies during start-up." The company’s evaluation into the CMMS/EAM system was very thorough and detailed,The whole exercise took about 6 months to complete from project inception through issuance of purchase order. Metallkraft used the User and Technical Requirement Specification to eliminate some CMMS/EAM during the evaluation and narrowed down to four solutions. Metallkraft then carried out a second comparison exercise based on cost comparison, adaptability and offering between the four shortlisted products, from which TOMMS emerged as the perfect match.
